Paul Hackney - Keeper of Botany

Area of Expertise:-

Botany; particular research interests include vascular plants and bryophytes in Ireland. 

Biography

Paul Hackney is reponsible for  the Department of Botany, CEDaR (Centre for Environmental Data and Recording) and curation of the collections of fungi, ferns, gymnosperms and bryophytes.  He deals with enquiries on general botany, departmental policy, collection content and development, botanical societies and sites of botanical interest.

Paul also deals with enquiries about Irish marine algae, seaweeds, freshwater algae and lichens.
