Non-British and non-Irish flowering plants, garden plants, economic botany, timbers, materia medica; particular research interests include exotic/garden flora of Northern Ireland. 

Biography

Catherine Tyrie is responsible for curation of the herbarium collections of non-British and non-Irish flowering plants, garden plants, economic botany, timbers, materia medica, and for outreach programmes.  She deals with enquiries about plant identification, general botany, collection content and development and botanical societies.
