About the Project
Over the coming year, a key part of the Museum's outreach programme is to make artwork for the builders' hoardings on the Stranmillis Road, in collaboration with a variety of community groups and artist Anushiya Sundaralingam.
Our new Community Art project will enable Museum staff to build relationships with seven very diverse groups, including adults with disability, the elderly, teenagers outside mainstream education and Chinese mothers and toddlers.
The work will be based on aspects of the Museum's collections and, where possible, real objects will be brought to groups as sources of inspiration.
Six stunning, colourful panels from Edgecumbe Training and Resource Centre were launched on 6 December 2007 and are on display until March 2008.

The project would not have been possible without generous sponsorship from Stratagem and funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund, to whom we are very grateful.
We would also like to thank Arts & Business, Play Resource Warehouse and all the enthusiastic teams of participants and supporters.
