Panama JacketWorld Cultures

Rare and fascinating objects from the Americas, Oceania, Africa and Asia were brought back to Northern Ireland in the 19th and 20th centuries. They were the result of trading, missionary, military and diplomatic activities as well as the travels of the ordinary visitor. The objects are an historical record of the people who made and used them. This makes them of great value and interest to their descendants as well as to people living in Ireland.
