Mummies and Movies
My family lived in Dunluce Avenue and many a time during the war years, when we were "skint", a problem not afflicting teenagers in the present society, with a couple of pals we headed for "The Museum" to have a "dekko" at the Mummy and on Saturday mornings get into "the pictures". I still remember the clean smell inside compared with the aromas of The Majestic and The Regal. Truth to be told, Hopalong Cassidy and The Lone Ranger never appeared at the museum!

Mummies and Paintings
Very fond memories of going to the museum by bus with Dad and siblings. Particular favourites were the paintings, but I was scared to death of the mummy in the Egyptian Room. I always wanted to go and see it and I always knew I'd have nightmares afterwards! That was in the late 50s and early 60s.
